About Us

Capt.
“Tommy Z” Ziesmann has been a professional, full time guide
in the Tampa Bay area for going on 7 years. A native of Virginia
Beach, VA, Tommy traces his fishing roots to the lower
Chesapeake Bay where growing up he chased striped bass, "gator"
sized speckled trout, cobia and "chopper" bluefish. Besides
fishing the Chesapeake, Capt. Tommy fished the Hatteras, NC area
for many years and is no stranger to offshore “blue water”
fishing. Capt. Tommy also captains a tournament kingfish team
with several “money” finishes under his belt.
Capt. Tommy has become somewhat of a local T.V. and radio
personality with regular invitations to appear on 47 FishFinder,
Hooked On Fishing w/ Capt. Bill Miller and The Average Angler
Show. Capt. Tommy has been a contributing writer for the fishing
magazine Onshore/Offshore. Also, he has been featured in
Saltwater Sportsman Magazine and Florida Sportsman Magazine.
Capt. Tommy now specializes in light
tackle fishing and for the last several years he has been
spending 200+ days a year fishing the warm waters of Florida’s
West Central Gulf Coast. He has learned a lot in his thirty-some
years of fishing and is eager to share his knowledge and
experience.
So, whether its chasing tarpon, grouper or kingfish in the
classic, fully restored 1977 Classic 24’ Pro-Line OR stalking the flats
from the front deck of the 18’ Hewes Redfisher flats boat for
redfish, snook or gator trout - this is definitely front row
seating to rod bending, heart beating, reel screaming action-
and Capt. Tommy is the guide for you!
What do they say?
"Captain Tommy took me out last memorial day
weekend and we hooked and landed a 100 pound-plus Tarpon. It
was a busy weekend, and the boats were piled up on the bridge
for hours.
We were the only boat that day that hooked a big
fish. I've used lots of guides, all over the country. I think
Tommy knows more about his local Tarpon than the other guides in
the area!

"I had the pleasure of fishing the Suncoast
Seabird Sanc. tournament with Capt. Tommy, as well as two others
on the boat. Having never met Capt. Tommy before, I felt
comfortable and at ease within minutes of our introduction.
Capt. Tommy is one of those people that you can't help but to
like. His attitude and demeanor is well liked and respected, I
had an absolute awsome time. I hope to book a charter in the
near future with him as I have seen first hand that he is a very
knowledgeable fisherman and guide. Thanks for the good time
Capt. Tommy!
